Montserrat (Catalan pronunciation: ) is a mountain chain near Barcelona, in Catalonia, Spain. It is part of the Catalan Pre-Coastal Range. The main peaks are Sant Jeroni (1,236 m), Montgrós (1 ,120 m) and Miranda de les Agulles (903 m).

COUNTRY DESCRIPTION: Montserrat is a British overseas territory and part of the British West Indies. The island rises in a series of mountainous slopes to a high point of over 3,000 feet at the Soufriere Volcano in the exclusion zone.
